Volkswagen, Audi, Škoda and SEAT (VAG) Keys: You Don't Need the Dealer

Own a Volkswagen, Audi, Škoda or SEAT? Your main dealer may tell you that only they can replace a lost or spare car key. Luckily for you, that isn't the case.

When we wrote this post in 2017, we contacted dealers in Leeds, Wakefield, Doncaster and Sheffield asking for the price of a spare key for a VW Golf. Every dealer quoted a different price, but even the cheapest was around £130 more than ours, and on average we saved customers about £160 on a VAG key compared with the main dealer.
